About Us

Our History

The story of MKNM HSS began in 1952, when Malayattil Ramachandran Nair, a visionary deeply rooted in social reform, founded the institution to bring quality education to the rural heartland of Kumaramangalam. Initially established as an Upper Primary School, it soon grew in stature and was upgraded to a High School in 1966. By the year 2000, the school had achieved Higher Secondary status, becoming a gateway for advanced studies in the Idukki region and continuing its legacy of educational progress.
